Exercise for Parkinson’s Training for Professionals

This training for group exercise instructors, personal trainers, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants teaches the basics of Parkinson’s, safety considerations for exercise classes and the most effective types of activities for people living with the disease. This course is a Parkinson's Foundation Accredited Exercise Continuing Education Course. The Brian Grant Foundation is also recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Athletics and Fitness Association of America as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. If you're an exercise professional certified by one of these organizations, you'll earn 0.6 CEUs from NASM and 6 CEUs from AAFA.

12 Lessons

This training for group exercise instructors, personal trainers, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants teaches the basics of Parkinson’s, safety considerations for exercise classes and the most effective types of activities for people living with the disease. Included in this course are 12 lessons and a final evaluation. Lesson 1 is a short introductory video and pre-assessment quiz to help us measure the increase in knowledge of participants in the training. After you complete the pre-assessment quiz, you will be guided through the remaining lessons in a specific order. At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate of completion.
